Rose Lee
I have always had a passion for art and have spent many hours sitting in front of a canvas. Having gone through many artistic epiphanies, I realized that I have to follow the thing I’m always drawn back to – color, motion and emotion. I’ve produced many paintings over the last 20 years and finally found my comfort in a living abstract style. I travel every chance I get – usually two to three times a year to another country. As I soak in the beauty, I take my memories home and paint them. It may be an activity (see my “Dancer” paintings) or a vista (See “Santorini”). They all represent memories that I never want to forget.
All my work is dedicated to my mother, Rosalie, who inspired me with her own artistic abilities and encouraged me to pursue what I love. We lost her 20 years ago to a devastating disease. My studio is in Dallas, where I have lived for the last 35 years.
